An Bhialann is family owned and family operated. An Bhialann opened its doors on the 19th November 2013 at 120 Ranelagh, on the south side of Dublin city. Although its early days for An Bhialann, the restaurant has already built a great reputation with local and new visiting customers. An Bhialann offers delicious, mouth watering  Irish cuisine served by friendly and helpful waiting staff at an affordable price. Being family owned and operated means that there is always a family member front of house to welcome each and every guest and to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible.


An Bhialann and the building here at 120 Ranelagh is owned by Josephine Leonard and her family. Josephine and her family have owned the building since 1991 and have lived here in Ranelagh for the past 25 years. At An Bhialann, we believe in supporting the local economy as much as possible, and so we source as much as possible from local suppliers.

Our Executive Chef is Gerry Leonard. Gerry has trained in seaside resort hotels throughout Ireland and has been mentored throughout his career by some of the finest chefs our little island has to offer. Gerry takes great pride in overseeing every dish that leaves his kitchen and he absolutely loves to work with seafood. Gerry sources only the finest Irish dry aged beef and the freshest local seafood available.


Whilst the history of An Bhialann may be short, its future looks very bright, thanks to all of our wonderful guests and friends. So pay us a visit and allow our family to take care of you and yours.
